Blue Peris is located just outside the Snowdonia National Park, 290 metres above sea level on the south westerly flank of Elidir Fawr, close to the village of Dinorwic, above Llyn Padarn and the woods of Allt Wen. Grid reference SH 588 608 O.S. map 1:50,000 Sheet 115. There are splendid views of Snowdon and adjacent hills from the Centre grounds.

For most school groups (and other large groups) coach transport is arranged from the school to Blue Peris, and is included in the price (but.... the coach cannot manage the last 350 metres because although the lane is level it is too narrow - you'll have to walk!).

Public transport is by train to Bangor or coach to Bangor or Caernarfon and then taxi to Blue Peris (approx £12). Local service buses to near Blue Peris (Dinorwic) run from Caernarfon (Service 83 - Arriva Cymru - enquiries 01248 750444). On Sundays, or if you get a bus from Bangor (Services 76, 77 - Williams Buses 01286 870484) you will have to walk 3km from Deiniolen!.

From the village of Deiniolen: Drive up the high street and go through the village over the speed bumps.

Stay on this road and go up the hill (Gallt y Foel) and through the village of Dinorwic.. Carry on to the end of the road by the quarries and the bus turn around. Blue Peris is 400m down the narrow lane with the no through road sign.
