MIDAS at Blue Peris

In some circumstances teachers that visit Blue Peris drive the Blue Peris minibuses. To allow them to do this they must have undertaken a MIDAS assessment. This may also be the case to allow Teachers/Leaders to drive School, Youth Service or Community minibuses.

Blue Peris has been part of MIDAS for over 5 years running courses only for our own staff.

We now wish to offer courses to the wider Bedfordshire community and any other organisations that may find MIDAS beneficial.

Why do a MIDAS Course?

What is MIDAS?

An award winning, nationally recognised, assessment and training scheme for minibus drivers in the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors. Originally developed by Hampshire County Council, MiDAS is administered nationally by CTAUK and provides organisations with the means to assess and train all their minibus drivers.

MiDAS provides both classroom-based theory training and an on-road driving assessment for all minibus drivers.

Regular refresher training is a significant element of MiDAS and in order to retain their MiDAS Certificate, drivers must attend refresher training every four years.
