Evening Activities

Evening activities occur between approximately 7 - 8.30pm.

We recommend these in most of our course programmes. They add an extra dimension to the course aims. They keep pupils/students active and provide another opportunity for course aims and objectives to be achieved.

They are managed by a combination of Blue Peris staff and visiting staff, depending on the types of activities required, their duration, and if they are on or off site.

Depending on total amount of students visiting most evening activities will be free of charge.

Activities often include:

On site

  • Problem solving (indoors and outside)
  • Low ropes
  • Small climbing wall
  • Orienteering
  • Nightline
  • Un-accompanied walk (summer only)

Off site

  • Local walk
  • Orienteering
  • Climbing wall
  • Visits to the beach
  • Dry slope skiing ( extra cost )

Visiting staff will be required to drive for the ski slope and beach visits. In order for this to happen there is a mini bus policy in place.

All these are discussed and priced accordingly and are normally programmed in between 7.00-8.30pm

Other Evening Activities & Student Free Time

Visiting staff are able to use a variety of rooms and the grounds to run other activities to keep the pupils/students active.

In addition to this, we have a have a dedicated games room with football tables, Giant Connect 4, a pool table and table tennis. The centre also has a lounge where students can relax and play games such as Jenga and Dominos. This lounge has an home cinema system which allows DVDs, (the centre has a selection which can be loaned FOC ) to be watched on the large screen, Freesat TV which also is watched on the large screen and the facility to play CDs and I-Pod music.
