Higher Education & NVQ - NVQ Courses
City & Guilds qualifications play an important role in the jobs market – put simply, they are a guarantee that the holder has the right skills to do a job well. It is little wonder that many employers seek out people who have undertaken them.
A course provided by Blue Peris and linked to an NVQ syallabus does much more than give students a good time. It allows organisations to give a real life context for learning. It also helps to develop teamwork, communication skills, a strong work ethic, as well as covering many aspects of the syallabus.
The outdoor environment also enables experiential learning to complement your teaching and provides an exciting stimulus which enhances student's learning.
Many of our clients view it more beneficial to hand over certain aspects of the syallabus to the centre as we have the skills, framework, equipment, expertise and experience to deliver.
You can be confident that your course will be designed to match your requirements and that you will be consulted at all stages to ensure that you get the right content and framework.
Popular subjects we deliver for are; Public Services and Leisure and Tourism.
Central Bedfordshire College visit the centre for 2 weeks each year. During this time we deliver aspects of their Public Services Access Course levels 2 and 3.
At the end of the 2 week stay we have covered:
- Expedition Skills – Level 2 unit B
- Outdoor and Adventurous Expeditions Level 3 unit 9
- Introduction to map work and navigation Level 1 unit 10
